Jöttnar designs and builds high-performance technical outdoor clothing.
The company was founded by two British Royal Marine commandos, both lifelong climbers, skiers and mountaineers. Years spent working and training in demanding conditions shaped a clear view of what equipment needs to do - and where existing gear fell short.

Every Jöttnar product begins with a practical requirement. Fit, fabric and construction are developed through direct use, then refined through repetition.
Design and build decisions are not made for effect, but because they measurably improve performance. We know the small details matter, because we have lived with gear that fails when they don’t.
tested where it matters
We test each product in the environments it’s built for.
Our gear is used by climbers, skiers, guides, mountain rescue teams, specialist military units and professional athletes who rely on performance over extended periods, often in consequential conditions.
We don’t chase trends or exaggerate claims. If something works, it earns its place. If it doesn’t it’s removed. Performance, durability and reliability are the measures that matter.
